Oludeniz Paragliding
Tour Description
Oludeniz Paragliding
Paragliding in Ölüdeniz is the best activity you can do in Fethiye. Paragliding alone is a source of adrenaline that will make you feel amazing. Add the Ölüdeniz scenery to that, and we’ve been given one of the world’s best paragliding spots. We’re thrilled to have turned this hobby—which we started for sporting purposes—into our profession. In this adventure we’ll share with you, seeing and reliving the emotions we first felt when we started this sport brings us special joy, and we’re eager to show you the true nature of paragliding.
Paragliding in Ölüdeniz takes place from Babadağ in Fethiye. There are five paragliding launch sites at different elevations on Babadağ. These range from 1,200 meters to 1,969 meters. The choice of takeoff runway is determined based on the weather conditions at that specific time of day. This is because each runway faces a different direction, and a headwind is required at the moment of takeoff. During the summer months, the runways between 1,700 and 1,969 meters are generally used. In the winter, however, the 1,200-meter runway is typically used due to weather conditions.
Our paragliding flights are scheduled every 2 hours throughout the day. The entire flight takes an average of 2 hours. The time spent in the air averages around 25–30 minutes. If requested and weather conditions permit, this can be extended by up to 15 minutes. You can find the detailed schedule at the bottom of the page.
A tip about flight times!
For the best photos, you may want to choose flights between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
If you experience nausea or extreme fear, morning flights are recommended. This is because the air hasn’t warmed up yet in the morning, allowing for a more stable paragliding flight.
To stay airborne longer, you may want to choose flights between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. This is because thermal currents form as the air warms, and paragliders can use these currents to stay airborne all day.
What should I wear!
Female guests are advised not to wear skirts, as they can cause difficulties with the connections.
You cannot bring anything with you on the flight other than sunglasses, but we can store your small items in our bag.
We recommend that our veiled guests pin their scarves in place so they don’t blow away in the wind.
