Fethiye Rafting Tour
Our rafting program in Fethiye takes place on the Dalaman River. Our rafting activity is a full-day excursion.
You will be picked up from your hotel around 7:30 a.m., and breakfast will be served at our rest stop in Dalaman.
At our facility, participants put on their rafting gear and set off to navigate the Dalaman River.
Our rafting course is approximately 18 km long. The rafting trip on the Dalaman River takes about 2.30 hours.
A free lunch is provided upon returning to the facility.
While you’re having lunch, you’ll be shown footage taken during your rafting trip. If you’d like, you can purchase this footage for an additional fee.
After that, the return trip begins, and you’ll be back at your hotel between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Dalaman River Rafting Course
The Dalaman River originates in the Taurus Mountains, flows between Fethiye and Marmaris, and empties into the sea at Ortaca. Its total length is 228 km.
There are rapids in many different categories along the river. Turkey is home to some of the most challenging and fun rapids. In fact, in some sections of the river, it merges with rivers carrying hot spring water, and at these points, guests are given the opportunity to swim. As of 2026, the routes have been reorganized due to dam construction in the region. When rafting takes place, the dam gates are opened to increase the water flow, making the rafting tour even more enjoyable.
There are about 8 rapids on the rafting course. These rapids certainly add a lot to the fun. From time to time, the raft is intentionally capsized to give participants a chance to swim. The boat-capsizing activity takes place at a spot where there is no current and the water is shallow. Let’s reiterate that we provide life jackets, and even if you don’t know how to swim, you’ll be able to stay afloat and stand on your feet.
The Dalaman River rafting course is open from April through November. We offer day trips every day.
Each rafting boat has a guide who is responsible for your safety and for steering the boat. In addition to the guide, each boat carries a maximum of 6 participants. At the tour site, you’ll receive training on how to handle the boat. The training generally covers topics such as the meaning of short commands, safety precautions, paddling, steering the boat, and what to do if you fall into the water.

We're setting out from Fethiye and going rafting on the Dalaman River. - What is the minimum age for rafting?
It depends on the difficulty of the course. As of 2023, the age limit for the course we use is 12. - How many people can fit in a rafting boat?
We can accommodate 6 guests on the boat, excluding the instructor. - How many kilometers long is the Dalaman River, and how long does it take to travel its length?
The section of the Dalaman River we use for rafting is about 18 km long, and the rafting trip on the river lasts 2.5 hours. - Does rafting require experience?
You will be guided by professional instructors, who will provide you with an introduction to the subject; no prior experience is required. - Will there be photography? Can we bring our own camera?
We take many photos both during the rafting trip and while preparing for it. You are welcome to bring your own camera, but we are quite selective about this. Since this is a very active tour, to avoid the possibility of your camera causing harm to other participants, please consult your instructor before bringing it on the tour.
